South Road & Victor Harbor Road duplication project
This project was federally, and state funded to improve road safety, reduce traffic congestion, and support economic growth in the Fleurieu region. It involved technical and complex excavations and civil works to duplicate approximately 10km of carriageway from Seaford to Aldinga & approximately 5km of carriageway from Old Noarlunga to McLaren Vale.
Construction has required NLGPS to provide multiple plant for a variety of technically challenging roles within the project. Clearing and grubbing in initial project phase, bridge abutment excavation, working on steep batters and slopes, installation of modular block retaining walls, excavating and installing precast culverts for drainage, swale drain excavations and top-soil/finished product.
This project has required precision excavations, with technical GPS playing a large role in deliverable outcomes. Workplace safety is of paramount importance as highlighted throughout the technical parts of this project.
